Band 6 Integrated Community Assessment Team (iCAT) Occupational Therapist

Location: Jeanie Deans Unit, Victoria Integrated Care Center, 93 East King Street, Helensburgh, G84 7BU

Salary: Band 6 (£43,231 - £52,679)

Contract: 30 hours per week

About Us

Our team provides an Occupational Therapy service to the community of Helensburgh and Lomond. We are an Integrated Community Assessment Team (iCAT) based in the VICC in Helensburgh and work primarily with the adult population. Peer support is provided by our experienced wider Occupational Therapy team with a broad range of specialisms and areas of special interest and CPD is fully supported.

About The Role

This post offers the opportunity for a highly motivated and confident Band 6 to join our iCAT. You will work as part of a team of Occupational Therapists, Assistant Practitioner OT’s and Healthcare Support Workers, Nursing and social work staff. Working across Community, Re-ablement and Hospital Prevention and Discharge.

You will have a broad skill mix as is required in a fully integrated Occupational Therapy setting and will be responsible for carrying a complex caseload of patient needs within the community setting. You will be responsible for providing day to day supervision and support to the OT team including your peers and junior staff.



You will be expected to support the iCAT Team Lead and deputise when required, and to work closely with a range of both statutory and third sector organisations.

About You

- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy, HCPC registered.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
- Highly motivated and confident, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, positive self‑awareness and ability to work as part of a team.
- Conscientious, calm and able to adapt to change or unpredictable circumstances.

Working Hours

Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part‑time hours will be adjusted on a pro‑rated basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
