**About The Opportunity**
An exciting prospect exists to join the Dietetics Department at Campbelltown and Camden Hospital in a temporary Dietitian Assistant capacity. The Dietitian Assistant assists in maintaining a high standard of nutritional care for all inpatients through managing daily menu choices, food preferences, and dietary requirements. Dietitian Assistants support the Dietitians in monitoring of oral intake, and liaise with Food Services on the day to day provision of meals to patients. The position operates on a 7 day rotating roster and may involve working at Campbelltown or Camden Hospitals.

**What You'll Be Doing**
This position is part of the Campbelltown and Camden Hospital Nutrition & Dietetics Department. The Dietitian Assistant assists in maintaining a high standard of nutritional care for all inpatients by obtaining and managing daily menu choices, interviewing patients for their food preference, supporting the Dietitians in monitoring of oral intake and liaising with Food Services on the day to day provision of meals to patients.

Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, work together to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the Macarthur region.

Campbelltown Hospital, a leading tertiary facility, offers a wide range of services including cardiology, maternity, palliative care, respiratory medicine,



emergency medicine, and aged-care services. It also features specialised Mental Health and Cancer facilities. Camden Hospital complements these services by specialising in care for older persons with acute or chronic health conditions, including rehabilitation, palliative care, geriatric evaluation and management, and psychogeriatric care.

The hospitals share a close-knit, community-focused team dedicated to delivering secure, quality, and compassionate care. The ongoing multi-million dollar redevelopment at Campbelltown Hospital will further enhance its capabilities, introducing advanced equipment and amenities.

Together, these sister hospitals ensure that the diverse needs of the community are met with excellence and innovation in healthcare.

**How to Apply**
- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition &Dietetics;) or Certificate III AHA (Nutrition &Dietetics;) or equivalent qualification or minimum 12 months full-time equivalent relevant experience working as a Dietitian Assistant in a hospital with a commitment to commence Certificate IV within 12 months.
- Good current knowledge of nutrition and therapeutic diets.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, and customer relations skills and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work individually and as part of a team.
- Good computer skills including experience using CBORD windows system.
