**About the Role**

The Greater Dandenong City Council has an exciting prospect for a passionate individual to join our Customer Service team on a casual basis. We are seeking a flexible, energetic, and empathetic person with a keen eye for detail and a dedication to excellent customer service to our diverse community. This position would suit someone who has flexible availability across the week, with the understanding that the number of shifts offer will vary depending on business requirements, but is anticipated to be 5-6 per fortnight. Availability on Mondays and Fridays is essential.

In this position, you will work as part of our Customer Service team, providing quality service to our diverse community across all customer service channels, including telephone and face-to-face interactions.

**Key Requirements**:

- Enthusiasm, flexibility, and a confident manner
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to meaningfully engage with customers from diverse backgrounds
- Strong understanding of customer service principles and concepts
- Ability to learn quickly and think on your feet




- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in a second language relevant to the community of Greater Dandenong is highly regarded
- Driver’s license is not required, but the ability to relocate to various worksites at short notice is necessary
