Laboratory 2026 Crushing Season Vacancies

About the Role

Seasonal employment opportunities have become available for the 2026 cane crushing season at Mackay Sugar. The season is expected to run from early June and will end approximately December 2026. Mackay Sugar is particularly eager to receive applications from people who have a passion for the Sugar Industry and have a robust desire to see the local industry thrive.

Laboratory Vacant Positions

- Juice Analyst
- Control Analyst

Reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and effective operation of laboratory equipment and machinery to provide laboratory services to the factory team, whilst maintaining quality at a higher than minimum standard. You will be a key member of the production team, self-motivated and committed to achieving targets in relation to safety, quality and productivity.

- The ability and willingness to work safely and efficiently within a team environment.
- Hold a Certificate 3 in Laboratory Skills, is preferred – not essential
- Have previous Laboratory experience (advantageous)
- Have the ability and willingness to work shift work - we are a 24/7 Operation
- MUST hold Full Working Rights for Australia
- An adequate level of physical fitness, such as lifting and carrying objects, climbing stairs and ladders.




- Be available for the duration of the 2026 Crushing Season

All training will be provided over a 2-week period, prior to crush commencing
