Part-Time 2-Day Nanny – Kingsgrove, NSW

Pay: $40 -$45 per hour (negotiable based on experience)

A warm and welcoming professional family based in Kingsgrove is seeking a kind, nurturing, and reliable nanny to care for their happy and curious 18-month-old. This is a lovely long-term opportunity for a nanny who enjoys building a genuine connection and becoming a valued part of a family. The family has busy yet supportive work schedules and is looking for someone who can provide a calm and consistent presence across the two full days. The home environment is relaxed and team-oriented, with parents occasionally working from home. They place great value on open communication, kindness, and a respectful, positive working relationship with their nanny.

A typical day will focus on the child’s care and development, including plenty of play, outdoor time, reading, music, and engaging, age-appropriate activities that support curiosity and learning. The child follows a gentle, flexible routine guided by their cues, including a regular midday nap, allowing time to reset and complete light child-related tasks. Meals are prepared by the family, enabling you to focus on quality engagement and care.

Afternoons are relaxed, with continued play and a smooth handover at the end of the day.

The ideal candidate will be warm, dependable, and emotionally attuned, with confidence caring for toddlers and the ability to work independently while maintaining a calm, nurturing environment.



Someone who brings initiative and creativity to the day, while remaining responsive and easy-going, will thrive in this role. The family is particularly interested in candidates with an Australian early childhood qualification and a strong track record of long-term private nanny positions.

Nanny duties and responsibilities include:

- Sole care throughout the day
- Planning and engaging in age-appropriate activities
- Supporting meals, snacks, naps, and daily routines
- Maintaining a calm, responsive caregiving approach
- Light child-related household duties (tidying play areas, children’s laundry, etc.)
- Open communication with parents regarding routines and daily updates
- Administering medication if required (following appropriate guidance)

To apply, you must have the following experience, attitude, and qualifications:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience caring for young children
- At least 2 Australian-based childcare references
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (Anaphylaxis training or willingness to obtain)
- Current National Police Check
- Driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle
- Non-smoker
- Full Australian working rights
- Warm, reliable, and positive approach to childcare
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term Pay: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour
