Job description

The purpose of the Telecommunication Technician is to provide support for the deployment and maintenance of the computer infrastructure, telecommunication network and web technology, as well as the diagnosis and resolution of technical problems such as repairs and installation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Install, repair and maintain issues with telecommunication line, devises and telenetwork. Install cables from server to computers, maintaining all the radio devices that is used on the floor.
- Maintain all the hardware devices such as telephone connections, network connection and cabling, relocation of devices, maintain and install POS systems, repair and maintain radio devices.
- Develope a record log of details, locations, inventory, parts, purchases, replacements, warranties and manage the connections to maintain quality network.
- Providing technical advice and monitor performance of communication services.
- Plan, develope and maintain infractructure and plan of network.
- Liais with suppliers, service providers and acquire contract in the best interest of the company.
- Identify and assess complex problems and create solutions that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors which are implemented by the team.
- Act independently to establish methods and procedures on recent assignments.

Conduct project and issue management (status reporting, issue reporting, ETC/budget reporting) for assigned scope of work, and make decisions that impact the team through regular consultation with senior management.




- Adhere to strategic direction set by senior management.
- Liaise regularly with the General Manager regarding operational objectives, purposes and achievements of each department

To succeed in the role you will need;
A tertiary qualification in computer science, Telecommunication or engineering is preferred

3+ years experience in a similar role

Experience in the hospitality industry preferred

Proven expertise supporting both Windows and Mac Operating systems

Proven expertise in server, computers, telephones, telenetwork, radio devices and other communication devices.

Excellent time management

Confidence to communicate with multiple stakeholders and to manage expectations

Attention to detail is a must

Ability to work independently, and self motivated

A curious nature, eager to learn, develop and expand on existing knowledge
