Position Summary

The Allocator is responsible for coordinating the daily allocation of drivers and vehicles across charter operations to ensure all services are delivered safely, efficiently, and on time. The role requires strong communication, organisational skills, and the ability to respond quickly to operational changes in a fast-paced transport environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Allocate drivers and vehicles to daily charter work

- Monitor and manage daily operations and service delivery

- Respond to operational issues including delays, breakdowns, and last-minute changes

- Maintain effective communication with drivers, schools, clients, and depot staff

- Ensure compliance with fatigue management, driver accreditation, and company policies

- Coordinate vehicle changes and backup resources where required

- Monitor GPS tracking and vehicle movements

- Assist with route planning and operational scheduling

- Liaise with the workshop regarding vehicle availability and maintenance requirements

- Maintain accurate operational records and documentation





- Provide high levels of customer service and problem resolution

Skills & Experience

- Previous experience in transport, logistics, or bus operations preferred

- Strong organisational and time management skills

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Sound computer skills and experience with scheduling or GPS systems advantageous

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- MR or HR Licence

- Knowledge of NHVR/fatigue compliance and passenger transport operations

- Good geographic knowledge
