HEAD CHEF Pyrmont Bridge Hotel
Location: Pyrmont, NSW 2009
Employment Type: Full time (45 hours per week)
Salary: $112,000 per annum plus superannuation
About the Role
Pyrmont Bridge Hotel is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Chef to lead kitchen operations in a busy hospitality venue and high-volume kitchen environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled hospitality professional with strong leadership abilities and a passion for delivering high-quality dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full kitchen operations in a high-volume hospitality environment
- Develop and implement seasonal menus and daily specials
- Develop and implement the Hotels function & catering menus
- Supervise, coordinate, and mentor chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff
- Monitor food preparation, presentation, and portion control standards
- Control food costs, stock ordering, and supplier relationships
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace regulations
- Maintain efficient kitchen workflow during busy service periods
- Collaborate with management to improve customer satisfaction and operational performance
Requirements
- Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in a similar role
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Excellent communication and team management abilities
