The company operates within a highly regulated and fast-paced food manufacturing environment, where production efficiency, equipment reliability, and strict compliance with food safety and engineering standards are critical to maintaining operational performance.

The business relies on continuous production processes that require effective coordination of plant operations, preventative maintenance systems, and engineering controls. With increasing production demand and operational complexity, NutriSoy requires structured maintenance planning to ensure minimal downtime, productive resource allocation, and consistent manufacturing output.

About the Role

The Maintenance Planner is a key technical and operational role responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all maintenance activities across the production facility. The position plays a critical role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising operational disruptions, and supporting continuous manufacturing processes.

The role requires strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities, along with the ability to manage maintenance systems, coordinate resources, and implement continuous improvement initiatives within a high-volume production environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Identifying equipment reliability issues and implementing effective corrective and preventative solutions
- Assisting in the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of engineering and maintenance standards
- Maintaining a safe system of work by ensuring compliance with workplace safety policies, standards, and relevant legislation
- Preparing detailed job plans, maintenance workflows,



and conducting regular audits and performance reviews
- Utilising CMMS systems for reporting, maintenance tracking, records management, and performance analysis
- Developing and implementing preventative maintenance and reliability programs to maximise plant efficiency
- Planning and scheduling maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance programs and plant shutdowns
- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime and increasing equipment availability
- Managing spare parts procurement, inventory control, and stock levels to ensure maintenance readiness
- Monitoring maintenance costs, project budgets, and work schedules to ensure operational efficiency
- Coordinating maintenance teams and providing leadership in maintenance planning processes

Core Tasks

- Preparing preventative maintenance plans and schedules aligned with organisational maintenance objectives
- Coordinating planned downtime to minimise disruption to production activities
- Adjusting maintenance schedules to accommodate emergency repairs and breakdowns
- Collaborating with procurement teams to ensure timely availability of materials and spare parts
- Ensuring compliance with maintenance procedures, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements

Requirements

- AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diplomaor at least 3 years of relevant work experience may substitute for formal qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance planning, manufacturing, or engineering environments
- Strong understanding of plant operations, maintenance systems, and reliability processes
- Experience using CMMS systems and maintenance reporting tools
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong communication and coordination skill
- Note - Preference will be given to Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents.
