Huge Care Pty Ltd is a registered NDIS provider seeking a dedicated Enrolled Nurse (EN) for an urgent start in Southport. We also welcome applications from Registered Nurses (RN) as all-rounders. This is a home care assistance role only — no community support or outings are involved.

You will be supporting a female participant in her home who lives with an autoimmune disorder requiring constant wound care and monitoring. This role demands a nurse who is clinically attentive, highly responsive, and able to adapt quickly to the participant's changing care needs.

n

Important: Quick response times are essential in this role. The right candidate must be easy to contact, prompt to reply, and ready to act. A genuine can-do attitude and strong team approach are non-negotiable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

n

- Routine pad changes throughout each shiftn

- Wound assessments, dressing changes, infection monitoring, and skin integrity management

n

- Additional wound care as required per the client's request from time to time

n

- Ongoing monitoring and documentation of wound status for a participant with an autoimmune disorder

n

- Personal care and assistance with daily routines (morning and evening supports)

n

- Manual handling and transfers

n

- Monitor and escalate clinical concerns promptly

n

- Accurate and timely clinical documentation

n

- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for coordinated care

n

- Promote independence and dignity in all aspects of care

n

SHIFT AVAILABILITY

n

ENROLLED NURSE (EN) – PRIMARY ROLE

n

Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 11:00am

n

Wednesday & Sunday: 5:30pm – 8:00pm

n





Additional shifts: 8:00am – 4:00pm (as required)

n

REGISTERED NURSE (RN) – ALL-ROUNDER

n

3 shifts per week including Saturday: 8:00am – 1:30pm

n

These are minimum required shifts. Additional hours available — flexibility and willingness to pick up extra shifts is highly valued.

n

Additional requirement: availability to complete 1–2 inactive sleepover shifts per fortnight (minimum).

n

ABOUT YOU

n

- Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse (or Registered Nurse)n

- Strong wound care experience including negative pressure wound therapy (essential)

n

- Experience supporting clients with autoimmune or complex chronic conditions (highly regarded)

n

- Confident in personal care and manual handling

n

- Minimum 1 year community or home care nursing experience

n

- Must be highly responsive — quick to reply to calls and messages, always

n

- Strong communicator with a proactive, can-do attitude

n

- Team player who aligns with Huge Care's culture of commitment and compassion

n

- Willing to commit to a minimum of 3–6 months

n

- Adaptable availability and openness to being on-call when required

n

- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain immediately)

n

- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

n

- Completion of mandatory NDIS training modules (Orientation, Infection Control, Manual Handling, Medication Management)

n

- Current First Aid and CPR

n

- Valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
