Pay: $32.56 – $42.74/hr + $120 sleepover allowance per shift

Shifts: 8:00am–4:00pm | 3:00–10:00pm | 8:00pm sleepover | 6:00–10:00am

The opportunity

Are you an experienced, compassionate support worker looking for consistent shifts with a participant you can genuinely connect with? Huge Care is seeking a skilled support worker to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for a participant with complex needs in her Southport home.

This is a long-term, stable placement with a consistent roster β€” no chasing hours, no uncertainty. You'll be part of a small, structured care team working to clear care plans. If you value routine, real connection, and delivering your best work, this role is built for you.

Participant preference: The participant has expressed a preference for a female support worker in line with her right to choose supports under the NDIS. We welcome applications from all candidates and will discuss this openly with shortlisted applicants.

Support needs at a glance:

n

Mobility: Bed-bound β€” full assistance required with all transfers and repositioning

n

Personal care: Full assistance with hygiene, dressing and continence needs

n

Communication: Hearing impairment β€” staff must speak clearly, loudly and directly

n

Vision: Vision impairment β€” narrate actions and maintain participant orientation

n

Hand function: Reduced β€” assist with all fine motor tasks and handling

n

Meals / dysphagia: Dysphagia present β€” supervision required at every meal, active choking risk

n

Safety requirement: Mealtime supervision is non-negotiable. All support workers must follow the participant's dysphagia management plan at every meal without exception.

What you'll do

n

- Provide full personal care β€” showering, hygiene,



dressing and continence β€” with dignity and respect
- Supervise all meals in accordance with the participant's dysphagia management plan
- Communicate clearly and directly, speaking loudly enough to account for hearing impairment
- Support structured daily routines that reflect the participant's stated preferences
- Monitor wellbeing and respond appropriately to pain, discomfort or changing needs
- Deliver overnight sleepover support (minimal active care required during the night)
- Collaborate professionally within a small, consistent care team
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to individual care plans

About you

n

- Located in or near Southport
- Demonstrated experience with high-complexity or bed-bound care (essential)
- Dysphagia awareness or mealtime management experience (highly regarded)
- Calm, patient and emotionally intelligent
- Confident communicating with participants with hearing and vision impairments
- Reliable, consistent and committed to a long-term placement
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or willing to obtain prior to commencement
- Must be engaged on an employed basis β€” independent contractors not accepted
