Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and supporting community access to open spaces? We are seeking an experienced and motivated Open Space Bookings Coordinator to join our team.

In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the efficient, fair, and sustainable use of Council’s parks, sporting fields, golf courses, and associated facilities. You will work closely with community groups, sporting clubs, and internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless and positive bookings experience.

About The Role

The Open Space Bookings Coordinator is responsible for providing best-practice customer service to all stakeholders accessing Council’s open spaces and recreational facilities. This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship management skills, along with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities Of This Role (not Limited To)

- Deliver high-quality customer service by managing enquiries and stakeholder needs
- Identify and drive improvements to customer experience and relationships
- Coordinate and oversee bookings for parks and recreational facilities,



including supervision of the Bookings Officer
- Maintain booking systems and implement process and system improvements
- Ensure fair and sustainable allocation of open spaces in line with policies and regulations
- Collaborate with internal teams to support maintenance, events, and service delivery
- Provide advice to stakeholders on booking processes and requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups and sporting bodies
- Monitor compliance with policies and regulations
- Lead policy reviews to ensure equitable access to open spaces
- Manage budgets, fees, and contracts, including external service providers
- Analyse usage data and report on trends to support planning and improvements
- Undertaking additional duties as required

About The Person

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

- Certificate III or higher in Business Administration, Recreation, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in record keeping
- Proficiency in booking systems and Microsoft Office applications




- Sound knowledge of relevant policies and regulatory requirements
- Flexible working evenings and weekends as required
- Current Driver Licence
