About the role
The role of Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Water and Sewer business with financial management, policies and procedures in relation to pricing submissions and the implementation of submissions. This will be achieved through working with Council's Finance Business Partner, different levels of management, and various internal stakeholders to provide clean visibility of financial performance, provide advice and assisting in ensuring the business meets the requirements of the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) Regulatory Framework.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Qualifications
- A degree qualification in Finance, Accounting, Economics or demonstrated solid contemporary experience in pricing submissions, regulatory frameworks or economic analysis in relation to essential service utilities
- Experience in financial modelling and analysis with the ability to interpret financial information into recommendations
- Extensive experience in delivering timely and accurate financial reporting, variance analysis, and sustainable solutions in a large organisation
Salary & Benefits
The commencing salary for this position is up to $106.6k per year. Central Coast Council also provides progression opportunities for employees to progress up to the maximum salary of $123.5k on completion of assessment of skills and performance plus 12% superannuation
- We have a permanent full-time role available
- This role will have access to a 9 day fortnight
- We are able to offer hybrid and flexible working conditions for this role – 2 days from home and 3 days onsite
- This role is located at the Wyong Administration Building
