About The Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Program Officer - PMO Advisory. The program Officer will support the delivery of Capital Works projects across the City of Canada Bay and will provide support projects enterprise wide for all directorates across Council.

On a Daily Basis You Will

- Assist in the daily administrative operations of the Project Management Office, focusing on the established project management framework.
- Monitor the PM framework, its implementation and useability of Council’s intranet. Plan, develop and continually improve materials, templates and electronic forms for the capital works program to ensure timely identification and execution.
- Analyse current projects for performance and implementation of the PM framework and undertake regular audits and reviews for PM compliance with the PM Framework and Governance requirements.
- Coordinate and produce key reports, including Mayoral reports, program-wide reporting, ARIC reports and PSC performance packs.
- Provide administrative support for the Project Management System (PMO 365) and assist project managers with data entry and oversee system updates and reports and manage till resolution any system issues.
- Support the Quarterly Budget Review process, and CAPEX Pipeline development.





About The Person

- Understanding in capital work project methodologies & delivery.
- Ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments to coordinate deliverables and achieve deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to manage various stakeholders, resolve conflicts and negotiate appropriate outcomes.
- Excellent IT skills with experience and knowledge of Microsoft applications. Power BI and SharePoint knowledge and experience would be advantageous.
- Excellent ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, as well as positive presentation skills.
- A demonstrated understanding of the current political, economic and social issues and future challenges in Local Government.
