Our Maintenance Workers play a vital role in keeping the City of Canning's buildings and assets looking their best. We're currently seeking skilled, hands‑on maintenance professionals to join our Facilities team and help maintain, refresh, and protect our community spaces.
About the role
This is a hands‑on role where no two days are the same. You’ll be working across a wide range of Council buildings and assets, delivering high‑quality maintenance works that make a visible difference to our community.
A snapshot of your current role:
- Painting, patching, and applying protective coatings to building surfaces and assets
- Minor building repairs including timber fixtures, doors, frames, fencing, and signage
- General property upkeep including minor repairs and replacement of fittings and fixtures
- Preventative and reactive maintenance tasks across Council buildings and facilities
- Utilise field tablet technology to monitor and close out job requests
- Working collaboratively across the Facilities team on a variety of maintenance projects
What you will bring to the role:
- Experience in building maintenance and construction work.
- Sound verbal communication and interpersonal, literacy and numeracy skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage own time effectively.
- Trade qualifications would be an advantage.
- Tickets in EWP and Working at Heights desirable.
- Current Satisfactory National Police Clearance.
