Team Lead Aircraft Maintenance - C-130J Hercules

About the opportunity
Airbus has an opportunity for a passionate team leader to join our Richmond Maintenance team as a Team Lead Aircraft Maintenance, in support of the C-130J Hercules.
In this role, you will work alongside two other Aircraft Maintenance Team Leads (one Avionics and one Mechanical) and you will lead maintenance teams performing various maintenance activities, while ensuring optimisation of resources at all times.
About the role
As a key member of the Richmond Maintenance Team, this role is responsible for providing leadership, guidance and support to Aircraft Maintenance Engineers who ensure delivery of contracted maintenance outcomes at Richmond NSW in support of the C-130J Through Life Support Program.
About the team
The Airbus Richmond Maintenance comprises of around 150 team members (across all trades, including a contractor workforce as well) and provides aircraft maintenance services to support the RAAF fleet of 12x C-130J Hercules aircraft.
**Typical maintenance activities at our Richmond site include**:

- Base Maintenance including:

- servicing,
- inspection,
- rectification and
- repair of major structural and mechanical components
- Major avionics system upgrades and modifications
- Advanced troubleshooting and testing of aircraft mechanical and avionics systems
- Off aircraft component repair and servicing

About you
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who is able to work in a large and complex team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as valuable verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to build successful working relationships and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment.
The knowledge,



skills and experience best suited to this role include:

- Experience in technical or maintenance management in the aviation industry
- Proven experience in people management with a focus on leading a united team in the achievement of measurable results
- Detailed knowledge of all facets of aircraft maintenance including:

- maintenance management systems,
- planning,
- equipment and parts management, and
- maintenance delivery types (base, deeper, operational, flight line, components, etc.)
- Understanding of interdependencies between maintenance, support engineering, and supply chain
- Experience in driving process improvement, balancing best practices with contractual/service requirements, and delivering on service targets
- Knowledge of applicable aviation maintenance legislation and regulations (e.g. CASR, DASR), standards
- Previous experience in the ADF or Defence Industry would be beneficial (however is not a mandatory requirement)

You must be eligible for an Australian Government Security Clearance (Baseline Vetting) and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment criminal history checks and medical screening which may include drug and alcohol testing.
