- Two Permanent, Full-Time positions available at Huskisson & Ulladulla
- Salary: $99,775 - $113,318 gross p.a. plus 12% Super plus 3.5% Civil Liabilities Allowance
- 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with the option of flexitime
- Located at Woollamia Works Depot & Ulladulla Works Depot

About The Role

Join our Works & Services team as an Engineering Officer and play a key role in delivering Council's maintenance and construction programs. These two positions provide technical support, including engineering survey services, maintenance program and project management, contract administration and asset management. Projects include roads, drainage, footpaths/cycleways, parking areas, traffic facilities, boat ramps, and recreational facilities.

Key Roles Of These Positions Include

- Developing and delivering maintenance and capital works programs for civil assets including roads, drainage, footpaths, street furniture, boat ramps and jetties.
- Undertaking asset inspection risk assessments and prioritising asset maintenance works.
- Preparing project plans including cost estimates, works programs, traffic control plans and environmental management plans.
- Procuring materials and contractors and coordinate the efficient delivery of works.
- Engaging and communicating effectively with outdoor staff, contractors, internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain service standards.
- Providing engineering survey and design services.
- Exhibiting positive behaviours by showing initiative, taking responsibility for own actions and referring issues of ethics and probity.
- Supporting continuous improvement by identifying improvements to processes and practices and supporting change.

The advertised salary is based on the grade of the position, comprising of 4 steps within the range shown. The starting salary is at Step 1 within the grade. Progression through the salary steps shall be based upon the achievement of performance objectives relating to the position.

About You

To be successful in the position, you will have:





- Diploma in Surveying or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Equivalent qualification and/or experience.
- Extensive related experience in civil engineering design, construction and/or maintenance.,
- Experience in construction, project and / or asset management.
- Class C Driver's Licence.
- NSW General Construction induction card (white card) or accepted interstate alternative.
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship

They will also have strong collaborative skills, working effectively within a team workplace, sharing information openly, and building positive relationships with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders.
