**About the Centre/Service**
We are a Community based Not-for-profit Long Day Care Centre and Kindergarten. Our Centre team consists of friendly and professional educators who focus on providing high quality care and education with small groups of children through the use of intentional teaching; engagement with all children and close supervision; and taking personal ownership of the service that we provide to our families
**Work Days of the Role**
Monday to Friday
**Hours of Work of the Role**
8.30am to 5.30 pm - 38 hours. 9 day fortnight
**Description**
- The role is varied but not limited to:
- Mentoring and supporting Educators to develop an outdoor program which supports "Walker Learning", the EYLF and the Centre Philosophy.
- Covering Educators meal breaks
- Being a positive and enthusiastic role model to all Educators and staff
- Working in partnership with families an the wider Community
- Oversee and maintain the safety and presentation of the outdoor learning workplace
- Display enthusiasm and be inspired by children's natural curiosity of the world around them
- Be aware the children's and educator's needs in the outdoor learning environment and take initiative when required/identified.
- Will display a passion for children's learning in the outdoors
**Qualifications**
- Diploma of Children's Services or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education with experience.
- Experience working in a Community/Not for Profit Centre an advantage
- Sound knowledge of Early childhood development, the Early Years Frameworks, the National Quality Standards and Child safe standards.
- Previous experience in "Walker Learning"to document children's learning and develop a program.
