**About the Centre/Service**
We are a Community based Not-for-profit Long Day Care Centre and Kindergarten. Our Centre team consists of friendly and professional educators who focus on providing high quality care and education with small groups of children through the use of intentional teaching; engagement with all children and close supervision; and taking personal ownership of the service that we provide to our families. We recently received an exceeding rating. The Centre has excellent resources and is situated on a council reserve. Staff have access to Professional Development, car parking and supportive working conditions.
**Work Days of the Role**
Monday to Friday. Four days a week may be considered.
**Hours of Work of the Role**
38 hours-9 day fortnight
**Description**
- This is a agile leadership opportunity which will allow you to work closely with the Centre Co-ordinator and in their absence cover that role. The role is varied but not limited to:
- Work in partnership to build strong collaborative relationships with parents, families, educators and staff and the local community.
- Mentor educators with the implementation of "Walker Learning"program format, the EYLF, National Quality standards, Centre Philosophy and Childsafe standards.
- Be motivated, passionate and a positive role model to the team
- Demonstrate and promote a team approach towards quality care and education
- Spending time in both the office and regular child contact.
**Qualifications**
- Diploma of Children Services or Bachelor of Childhood Education with experience-preferably in a Community Not for Profit Centre
- Have a sound understanding of "Walker Learning" and child development
**Requirements**:

The successful person will have: - Will have a genuine passion and the ability to demonstrate innovative and creative thinking - Will have strong time management, organisational, written, verbal and listening skills
