Hindmarsh Plumbing was established in 1973 as a part of the Sarah Group, with the purpose of delivering superior commercial plumbing services across South Australia and Western Australia. We are experts in commercial and industrial construction, maintenance plumbing and water treatment. We are currently seeking a dedicated Plant Coordinator to provide support to the business by maintaining plant, equipment, offsite inventory and the businesses warehouses and yards and is responsible for the oversight of receiving, dispatching, and delivering items to site as requested.
What your day-to-day could look like
As a member of the Hindmarsh Plumbing team and reporting to the Service Manager, key responsibilities of the Plant Coordinator will include:
- Coordinate Plant movements as required. Inspect all returned plant to determine if repairs or maintenance is required;
- Accurately maintain asset registry systems;
- Coordinate and undertake repairs of plant and equipment in a timely manner by engaging the approved repairer on commercially sensible terms;
- Assess condition of business owned plant and equipment and discuss with management if replacements are required;
- Coordinate allocation of plant between sites and teams in a manner that best meets the businesses commercial objectives.
- Testing and tagging of electrical equipment, as required
- Deliver goods back to suppliers for credit as required;
- Oversee fleet vehicle maintenance and safety requirements, ensuring the operators are keeping them serviced in line with manufacturer’s logbook and recall requirements;
- Maintain the secure storage and register for all vehicles, site and equipment keys;
- Ensure the workshop and yards are maintained in a clean and orderly manner;
- Arrange,
deliver and collect inventory and goods as required;
- Manage the on-site recycling systems

You will possess the following experience, skills and qualifications:
- Current Class C Driver’s License;
- Current MR Truck License (Desirable but not essential);
- Current Forklift (High Risk) License;
- Current certifications as they relate to Electrical Testing and Tagging (Desirable but not essential);
- Ability to schedule own time and activities and operate under minimal supervision; but also work respectfully and collaboratively in a team;
