Broome Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Special Needs Education Assistant for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the **** school year and up to the end of Term 1, ****.
Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role As a Special Needs Education Assistant, you will ideally use your excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with teachers and other colleagues to create an inclusive education program that accommodates the needs of students.
Suitable applicants will use initiative to support the delivery of planned education programs, using their understanding of differentiation and intervention strategies to assist students in accessing the curriculum.
Experience in supporting students with diverse needs is highly desirable.
Suitable applicants will ideally deliver individual and small group programs, which may include the use of digital technologies or physical materials.
Under teacher direction, the Special Needs Education Assistant will make use of innovative and unique strategies that promote inclusive learning, emotional regulation and general wellbeing.
Experience in supporting the delivery of a differentiated and engaging curriculum will be well regarded.
Further, as part of this role, suitable applicants will engage with external services and families to collaboratively plan for students' needs.

Demonstrated knowledge of health and physical disabilities in students and adolescents.
Demonstrated ability to assist with general health and well-being of students.
