About the role
We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Duty Manager to join our team at The Salty Dog, Kingston Beach. As a Restaurant Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our on-site restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service and a smooth dining experience for our guests. This is a full-time position based in Kingston Beach, TAS 7050.
What you'll be doing
- Manage the daily operations of the restaurant, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve any customer issues or complaints
- Ensure that the restaurant adheres to all relevant health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Assist with the planning and execution of special events and functions
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality meals
- Oversee the cash handling and financial reporting for the restaurant
- Provide leadership and support to the restaurant staff, including training and development
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a restaurant duty manager or similar role
- Vibrant & outgoing customer focused attitude
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in inventory management and financial reporting
- Thorough understanding of food safety and health regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage a team effectively
- Passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Ability and willingness to work a mix of hours across breakfast, lunch and dinner shifts
- Must be available to work on weekends and public holidays
