FULL TIME 38 HOURS PER WEEK MINIMUM 4 WEEKS ANNUAL LEAVE SALARY PLUS SUPER $75k PA - $85k PA

Wurlitzer Bakery is looking for experienced BAKER and PASTRYCOOK for their bakeries in Evans Head, Current South Wales. They serve a full bakery menu including pies, sausage rolls, breads, cakes, sweet pastries, and coffee.
Evans Head offers a charming beach‑side lifestyle with easy access to beaches, relaxed pace of life, and beautiful surroundings.
To be considered for the role you need to have a relevant industry qualification or at least 2‑3 years' experience in a similar position.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
checking the cleanliness of equipment and operation of premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
checking the quality of raw materials and weighing ingredients
kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods
preparing pastry fillings
monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times
coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de‑panning and cooling of batches of bread, rolls and pastry products
glazing buns and pastries, and decorating cakes with cream and icing
operating machines which roll and mould dough and cut biscuits
emptying, cleaning and greasing baking trays, tins and other cooking equipment
Hand shaping of loaves and rolls
Making of sweet & savoury pies
Working with the senior team on product development
Experience with sourdough bread highly desirable

Available nights, weekends and school holidays.
