Are you passionate about gaming and making a difference? Have experience being a dungeon master in Dungeons and Dragons? GAMER is seeking facilitators to lead engaging, recovery-focused gaming programs that support individuals with psychosocial disability in achieving their personal goals. You'll use person-centred, active support models to build independence, social skills, and community connection through gameplay. We’re looking for a Mental Health and Interpersonal Skills Facilitator; we’re looking for someone like you.
At GAMER you would receive mentoring and hands-on training with our senior facilitator who will assist you to combine your gaming skills with a strong understanding of mental health and psychology, to deliver Applied Gaming programs. GAMER provides participants with a structured, fun, and engaging platform to discover, explore, and build interpersonal and coping skills that assist them in achieving personal goals
**Key Responsibilities**
As a Mental Health and Interpersonal Skills Facilitator, you will but not limited to:
- Facilitate engaging, goal-oriented gaming sessions using recovery-based and person-centred active support models.
- Support participants of various backgrounds and identities to build independence, social connections, and interpersonal skills through structured gameplay.
- Identify and address barriers to participation, using gaming strategies to support individual goals and NDIS-funded outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, and contribute to client planning and compliance requirements.
- Be willing to give different things a go and participate in games you might not have experience with.

**You will need the following**:
- Certificate IV in Mental Health or equivalent;
- Current First Aid and CPR Training
- within 12 months;
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check;
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate;
- Working with Children’s Check VIC;
- Experience with table top gaming such as Dungeons and Dragons
**Desirable**
- Experience with ASD and or ADHD
- Experience with creating RPG campaigns and adventures
- Experience with Dungeons and Dragons 5th Edition.
