About the Role

Northern Rivers In Home Care is seeking a qualified and reliable **Early Childhood Educator** to support two children ages 3 years and 1 years old in the Mitchelton area. The child’s mother is a shift worker, so the role requires flexibility with early, late, and occasional overnight shifts. The position involves providing nurturing, safe, and individualised care, assisting with daily routines, and supporting the child’s development.

A reliable car and driver’s licence are essential for daycare drop-offs and pick-ups.

Hours of Work

This role involves 7 shifts per fortnight, with varying rosters that include early, late, and night shifts.

**Shift Examples**:

- **Early**: 05:30 - 07:00 (with some days extending to 16:00, including daycare drop-off)
- **Late**: 18:00 - 23:30 (with some days starting earlier, from 13:00, including daycare pick-up)
- **Night**: 22:45 - 07:15 (approx. 3-4 nights per month, requiring overnight care)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate care.
- Support morning and evening routines, including meals, hygiene, and preparation for daycare.
- Manage daycare drop-offs and pick-ups as required.
- Provide calm and attentive overnight care when rostered.

Requirements - Essential Qualifications
- Certificate III in Children’s Services (or higher).
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificates (HLTAID012 & HLTAID009).
- Working With Children Check (Blue Card).
- National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months).
- Public Liability Insurance.
- Medical Clearance confirming fitness to work with children.
- Up-to-date Child Protection Training
- Australian Business Number (ABN).
- Valid Photo ID (Driver’s Licence or Passport).
- PRODA RA (Provider Digital Access Registration).
- Completion of ACECQA eLearning Modules for In Home Care.
- Reliable car and driver’s licence.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $40.00 per hour
