Overview

Joining the Yorke and Northern Local Health Network's Yorke Peninsula Community Mental Health Service, you will assist with providing evidenced-based, recovery-oriented services that meet the needs of consumers in the local community. Providing integrated clinical mental health care to consumers across community, acute and rehabilitation service settings, you will utilise and develop a combination of preventative, early intervention, therapeutic and evaluative approaches, including individual and family therapeutic approaches, group programs, health promotion and community development programs. Advocating on behalf of consumers with a mental illness, you will ensure consumers are meaningfully involved in all aspects of their mental health care.

For appointment as a Registered Nurse, you will need to be registered by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold a current practicing certificate along with a qualification in Mental Health practice. For appointment as an Allied Health professional, you will need to hold a recognised qualification in Social Work, Occupational Therapy or Psychology and have eligibility for membership of the relevant professional association.



You will bring experience in providing a broad range of clinical and consultative services across a range of service settings, including one-on-one, group based and health promotion activities. Demonstrating a commitment to providing consumer and family-centred care, you will bring the ability to be creative, innovative and flexible when approaching issues within a mental health setting.

Please note this position in multi class as either AHP2, AHP1 or RN/M2C, RN1 and will be appointed subject to qualifications and experience.
