Busy Bees at Bentley Park is seeking a confident and passionate Assistant Service Manager (2IC) to support our Centre Director on a temporary contract until September 2026. This role will focus on leading a high-quality, community-focused early learning service. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator or team leader ready to step into a broader leadership role while driving quality, culture, and operational excellence.

About the Role
As the 2IC, you will work closely with the Centre Director to ensure the service operates smoothly, efficiently, and in line with Busy Bees’ high standards. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the day-to-day leadership and operational management of the centre
- Mentoring, coaching, and guiding educators to deliver high-quality practice
- Leading the service in the Centre Director’s absence
- Upholding compliance with the National Quality Framework, Regulations, and the NQS
- Building strong, positive relationships with families and the community
- Supporting rosters, enrolments, administration, documentation, and programming processes
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement and collaborative teamwork
What You’ll Need
- Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (ACECQA-approved)
- Previous leadership experience (Lead Educator, Educational Leader, or Assistant Director highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS, and regulatory requirements
- Current Working with Children Check (Employee) – QLD requirement
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification
- Ability to build trust, motivate teams,
and champion quality practice
- Strong communication and organisational skills
