The Opportunity

Novaskill has partnered with Northern Beaches Council to offer a 3rd Year Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Apprenticeship opportunity including on-the-job training with ongoing mentoring and support to help you achieve your career goals and unleash your true potential.

You’ll complete a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology whilst working in the Community Transport, Parking & Fleet Team through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation and practical on-the-job experience at the Northern Beaches Council and the ability to develop relationships in the community.

The Role –

- Earn money while you gain a nationally recognised qualification
- Service and repairs to light, heavy fleet and plant equipment
- Maintain and order stock
- Maintain safe and clean working environment
- Work collaboratively with a focus on continuous improvement and building rapport with team and customers

- Have a strong customer service focus
- Have time management & attention to detail
- Show the ability to work as part of a team and share knowledge
- Be willing to complete the study to gain the qualification
- Manual Drivers Licence required
