About the Role

Thisposition will implement systems-based environmental innovations;integrated sustainability technologies; authentic sustainabilitypractices and develop sustainability-focused business cases, casestudies and metrics. Working across all areas of sustainability,living soil, water, wildlife, vegetation/fire management, andeco-efficiency (water, energy, waste, transport, people,



andbiodiversity) and across the urban, peri-urban, and ruralenvironments of Townsville. This position also workscollaboratively across the organisation with different departmentsand as a part of various projects teams and workinggroups.

About You

Theideal candidate is a dynamic, empathic, collaborative andforward-thinking environment/sustainability professional with astrong foundation in sustainable resource management and a proventrack record of delivering impactful, on-ground sustainabilityoutcomes. They possess exceptional project coordination skills andthrive in multidisciplinary settings, working collaboratively withengineers, IT technicians, planners, community development, andgovernment agencies to tackle complex sustainability challenges.With knowledge of systems-based thinking, natural systemsmanagement and/or sustainability, they bring insight intoimplementing locally relevant sustainability action, environmentaldata integration, catchments and coastal systems. Technologicallyadept, they leverage advanced modelling and analytical tools toinform decision-making and demonstrate leadership in fostering asystem-based approach to sustainability. Their commitment toinnovation, collaboration, and integrative thinking makes them acatalyst of sustainability.
