**A little about the role**

As a **Family Services Practitioner**, you will:

- Work within the Early Help Program, which is an early intervention program that works in partnership with Our Place, Morwell Park Primary School, Morwell Central Primary School, Good Start Early Learning Centre and Morwell Park Kindergarten.
- Facilitate parenting groups as well as coaching and educational opportunities for parents.
- Provide episodes of family support to parents across the partnership.
- Be part of a team-oriented integrated team working together to make a positive and lasting difference to children and young people through the provision of individual support,



group work and Baby College as part of the universal Services within the Our Place hub in Morwell Central and Morwell Park Primary Schools.
- Ensure that the protection of children and their welfare is given the absolute priority in all activities and events, while also ensuring that the children/young person’s opinions are sought over all issues likely to affect their daily life.
- Support and coach parents through individual support and group work to learn and grow in confidence and parenting ability guided by the Key Assets Practice Framework for Families, and in adherence with organisational and Departmental legislation, policy, procedures, standards and competencies

The base salary for this position is $88,090.08 - $94,788.72 /annum (based on 1.0EFT) + super + vehicle & fuel card (if applicable) + salary packaging options up to $15,900 per annum. This position is part time, fixed term until 30 June 2026.

Please note that the hours of the role are 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Friday on site at Morwell Park or Morwell Central Primary School.

**About you**
- Early Childhood, Social Work, Psychology, Counselling or other relevant recognised Qualifications.
- Prior experience delivering facilitated play groups, parenting group work, working with vulnerable families and/or on behalf of children, young people and families.
- A comprehensive working knowledge of various Early Childhood legislation, Child Protection Legislation,



Government initiatives and agendas across VictoriaTenacity, diligence and resilience - with the ability to adopt a creative approach to engaging vulnerable families and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
