Warrnambool City Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Coordinator Strategic Planning to help guide the long-term growth and development of our municipality.
In this key leadership role, you will:
- Drive high quality strategic planning outcomes by formulating and implementing the provisions of the Warrnambool Planning Scheme and associated planning strategies.
- Lead and manage strategic land use planning and projects, contributing to orderly, sustainable growth that protects our natural environment and enhances the liveability of our community.
- Provide expert, timely strategic planning advice across a broad range of land use and environmental planning matters—including housing, commercial and industrial development, open space, heritage, coastal and rural environments.
- Support the continuous development, monitoring, and refinement of the Warrnambool Planning Scheme to ensure it remains effective, responsive and aligned with community needs and Council’s strategic vision.
We are looking for a collaborative, forward-thinking professional who can balance growth with environmental stewardship, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and contribute proactively to strategic decision-making.

The Benefits
This is a permanent full time position, with a starting salary of $101,648 p.a.
excluding superannuation.
