About Neurodiverse Playhouse
Neurodiverse Playhouse is a joyful, child-led therapy space where neurodivergent children are supported to communicate in ways that feel natural, safe, and empowering. Our Yarraville clinic is designed with comfort, sensory needs, and creativity in mind—offering a calm environment where children can explore communication through play, movement, and connection.
We specialise in:
- Play-based and interest-led therapy
- AAC
- Gestalt Language Processing (GLP)
- Sensory and body-brain integration
- Primitive reflex work
- Relationship-first, neuroaffirming support
As our team continues to grow, we’re excited to welcome a Speech Therapist who shares our values and enthusiasm for working with neurodivergent children.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting children with speech, language, and social communication needs
- Implementing AAC, GLP, speech sound therapy, and play-based interventions
- Coaching and empowering families to support communication at home
- Creating sessions that honour autonomy, sensory needs, and each child’s unique interests
- Working collaboratively with OTs and Exercise Physiologists within a multidisciplinary team
- Providing therapy in-clinic, with optional mobile sessions if preferred
You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:
- Are a Speech Pathologist registered with Speech Pathology Australia
- Are passionate about neurodiversity-affirming, child-led practice
- Enjoy working with Autistic and ADHD children using supportive, respectful approaches
- Are curious about or experienced in AAC, GLP, and play-based therapy
- Value flexibility, collaboration, and creative clinical work
- Are keen to learn more about primitive reflex integration—full training provided
