Female Disability Support Workers - SHORT SHIFTS ONLY

Independent Living Victoria are currently seeking passionate and experienced Disability Support Workers to work in Sunshine West.

The role will involve:

· Complex Bowel Care - administering suppositories

· Personal Hygiene

· Manual Handling/Hoisting

· Working with a male client

· MUST be confident in administering suppositories.

· 2-hour shifts only, 8:30am – 10:30am, every 2nd day.

· Assistance with personal hygiene as required.

** Only candidates who live in the Sunshine West area will be contacted **

** Additional shifts can be provided as opportunities arise with other clients **

What you’ll need, or must be willing to obtain, prior to employment:

· A valid Australian Drivers Licence and regular access to a vehicle with full comprehensive insurance.

· A qualification in Disability Support, Individual Support, Aged Care or Nursing.

· NDIS Worker Screening Check.

· The legal right to work in Australia.

· A current Police Check (within 3 years).

· A current First Aid & CPR certificate (First Aid within 3 years, CPR within 1 year).

· A currently Manual Handling certificate (within 1 year).

· Various other certificates relating to Infection Prevention and NDIS modules

· Ability to provide 2 skilled references.
