About the role
Are you passionate about early childhood development, community engagement and playful learning? Join our vibrant team at the City of Unley as a Toy Library Officer and help bring joy, learning and connection to families in our community.
Delivering friendly and professional customer service at our Toy Libraries, this role will help families access toys for their child's developmental stage while assisting with collection maintenance and cataloguing. Creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment for all while promoting the benefits of toy libraries, this role strives for excellence in providing services to the community.
About you
As the Toy Library Officer you understand the power of play in early childhood development and take pride in helping others access quality educational toys.
To succeed in this role you will :
- Be friendly, reliable and community‑minded, enjoying helping others and creating positive experiences.
- Take pride in delivering excellent customer service and have experience in a similar role or an early childhood setting.
- Be organised and proactive with an eye for detail when it comes to shelving, maintaining toy collections and keeping the library space welcoming and safe.
- Be flexible and happy to work across both the Unley and Goodwood Toy libraries, including alternative Saturdays, and support the wider library team when required.
- Have a current Working with Children Check or be willing to attain one.
