Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified Cook to join our kitchen team. The successful candidate will prepare and present high-quality meals, maintain kitchen standards, and contribute to the smooth daily operations of the café.
Key Duties
- Prepare, cook, and plate menu items to company standards.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness at all times.
- Monitor stock levels, order supplies, and manage inventory rotation.
- Assist with menu development, seasonal specials, and recipe testing.
- Train and mentor junior staff and kitchen hands.
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent customer service.
- Manage kitchen documentation,
including cleaning schedules and compliance records.
- Support management in achieving cost control and minimizing food wastage.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Certificate IV in Kitchen Management (or equivalent qualification).
- Proven experience as a cook or chef in a café/restaurant environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Leadership ability to supervise and train staff.
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and public holidays as rostered.
- Creativity and passion for food presentation and menu innovation.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $78,926.49 per year
