Automotive Mechanic Required
Thomastown Auto repair is looking for a skilled and Australian-qualified motor mechanic to join our busy workshop team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of mechanical repairs, vehicle maintenance, and servicing.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect vehicles – Check cars to find problems, like strange noises, leaks, or warning lights.
Diagnose issues – Use tools and knowledge to figure out what’s wrong with the engine, brakes, or other systems.
Repair and replace parts – Fix or change damaged parts such as brakes, batteries, belts, or spark plugs.
Perform regular maintenance – Do oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and tune-ups to keep vehicles running well.
Test vehicle performance – Take cars for test drives or use machines to make sure everything is working correctly.
Use diagnostic tools – Work with computers and equipment to find mechanical or electrical faults.
Follow safety rules – Work safely with tools, chemicals, and heavy parts to avoid accidents.
Communicate with customers – Explain problems, repairs, and costs in clear, simple language.
Skills and Educational Qualification:
· Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical Technology or equivalent.
· Minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a qualified motor mechanic.

Salary:
$75,000 to 85,000 per year
