Your Recent Role
Classroom and learning support (CLS) is a dedicated service that provides a range of resources and assistance to students with disabilities and additional learning needs.
It aims to create an inclusive learning environment where all students can reach their full potential. CLS staff work closely with classroom teachers to identify and address students' needs, providing tailored support and strategies. This may include direct instruction, small group work, assistive technology, and behavior management techniques. CLS also offers professional development to teachers, helping them implement effective inclusive practices.
- Assist teachers and students in and outside the Learning Spaces
- Assist with the supervision of small groups and/or individual students on activities, as directed by the teacher
- Undertake specific tasks with individuals or small groups of students under the guidance of the teacher
- Toileting and supervising students during break times (on a shared roster)
- Support the students and/or teachers in the use of technology
- Assist students with physical, medical or mobility challenges

Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in providing learning support
- Highly organised and flexible to changing timetables or arrangements
- Effective in all areas of communication
- Ability to use technology in a variety of formats
- Passion, willingness or experience in working with students
- Understanding or willingness to learn the requirements of the NCCD relevant to this role
- Certificate III or Equivalent Qualifications in Education Support or equivalent to 5 years of Experience (preferred) or Currently undertaking a Bachelor or Masters of Education
- Current driver's licence (preferred)
- Current First Aid and CPR
- NSW Working with Children Check
- Successful Candidate to undertake a National Criminal History Check
