Job Description

Telco World Forest Lake, a trusted Telstra Partner Store, has built a strong reputation for delivering personalised telecommunications solutions to the local community. From mobile plans and NBN bundles to phone and computer repairs, our store is a one-stop destination for modern connectivity and device support. We are committed to excellent customer service, reliable technical solutions, and friendly in-store experience.

We are now seeking a dedicated and skilled Retail Manager to lead our Forest Lake team and support the continued growth of our retail and repair service operations. The Retail Manager will oversee the daily operations of the store, ensuring that customer service standards, product offerings, and operational procedures reflect Telco World’s commitment to excellence. This role requires a manager who is proactive, organised, and capable of leading a small team in a fast-paced telco retail environment.

Retail Manager – Telco World (Forest Lake, QLD) Key Responsibilities

- Oversee day-to-day store operations, ensuring a high standard of customer experience across mobile services, NBN bundles, accessories, and device repair services.
- Monitor product ranges, maintain appropriate stock levels, and coordinate timely reordering of mobile devices, accessories, and repair parts to meet customer demand.
- Develop store-specific sales and service strategies, including pricing approaches, promotional activities, and in-store marketing initiatives tailored to telecommunications and repair services.
- Lead customer engagement by providing expert advice on mobile plans, NBN packages, device features, and repair options while supporting team members in delivering consistent service excellence.
- Review and maintain accurate documentation relating to inventory, repair jobs, sales transactions, and daily financial activity.




- Manage budgeting and store performance targets, analysing sales trends to ensure ongoing commercial viability and growth.
- Recruit, train, and guide team members, ensuring staff are confident in product knowledge, customer service techniques, and device troubleshooting basics.
- Oversee rostering, performance evaluations, and workflow supervision to maintain an efficient and harmonious retail environment.
- Ensure adherence to workplace health and safety standards, including proper handling of electronic devices, repair tools, and customer equipment.
- Implement merchandising plans, including visual displays and promotional layouts, to maximise sales conversions.
- Maintain strong relationships with Telstra representatives, suppliers, repair technicians, and service partners.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and work towards continuous improvement of service processes.
- Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities for new services, customer retention strategies, and local area marketing initiatives.
- Ensure the store’s operational policies and quality standards support company goals and Telstra partnership guidelines.

Qualifications & Experience

- At least 1 year of experience in retail management, telecommunications retail, or a related customer service leadership role.
- A relevant qualification such as an AQF associate degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma.
