About Us
Australian Animal Protection Society (AAPS) is a community-based, registered Charity that relies almost entirely upon volunteers and community support to provide financial support for the shelter, as we do not receive any ongoing Government funding. We work closely with ALL animal welfare organisations in our endeavour to provide protection, assistance, and welfare for all animals. We are based in Keysborough, Vic.
About the role
Based at our shelter in Keysborough, and reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Fundraising and Events Lead plays a key role in elevating AAPS's community giving program to maximise donations and engagement.
The role will proactively promote our mission and purpose to community fundraisers and donors alike. The role is suited to someone with NFP or corporate fundraising experience, with an energetic and self-motivated approach.
The role will be responsible for:
- Fundraising Strategies: Developing and implementing fundraising campaigns that engage and inspire supporters.
- Event Management: Organising and managing events that support AAPS's mission and objectives.
- Community Engagement: Collaborating with stakeholders to enhance community connections and support.
- Event Coordination: Coordinate existing community fundraising campaigns and activities, including third-party events and workplace volunteering.
- Stewardship: Support on strategies to grow the number and value of donations through multiple channels
About you:
You will have hands-on experience in fundraising and events with a self-driven attitude and forward-thinking strategic mindset. You will be experienced in looking for ways to continuously improve the way we engage supporters and run events. You will have great stakeholder skills for working across teams within the organisation.
- At least 5 years demonstrated experience in a fundraising and events role with a proven track record of consistently achieving fundraising revenue targets.
- Ability to self-drive on strategies whilst collaborating with other teams to ensure targets are met and aligned with the wider AAPS objectives.
- Enthusiasm, motivation, and the desire to use your skills to make a positive difference in the lives of animals.
