Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the HR function across the organisation, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and values
- Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that support compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and SCHADS Award
- Provide guidance and support to managers on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning
- Coordinate training and development initiatives to build staff capability and promote career growth
- Manage HR systems and maintain accurate employee records, contracts, and compliance documentation
- Drive employee engagement and wellbeing programs that foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture
- Monitor and report on HR metrics, including turnover, absenteeism, and training outcomes
- Ensure workplace health and safety practices are embedded across all teams
- Support organisational change initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
- Actively adapt to evolving organisational needs and external regulatory changes
Experience
- Proven experience in a senior HR role, preferably within the disability, healthcare, or community services sector
- Demonstrated success in managing HR operations in a multi-site environment
Skills & Competencies
- Leadership: Inspires and guides teams with empathy and strategic vision
- Compliance: Strong understanding of employment law, NDIS, and SCHADS Award
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Problem-Solving: Proactive and solution-oriented approach to HR challenges
- Technology: Proficient in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and data reporting tools
- Systems Experience: Experience with Employment Hero and MYP CRM is highly regarded
Mandatory Requirements
- Current Australian Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable, insured vehicle that can be used for work purposes
- Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for NSW
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
Desirable
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- Certificate IV in Disability or Community Services
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
- Leadership & Management Certification
