- Trade qualified and experienced Service Technician
- Remuneration packages - $76,515 - $80,000

Jako Industries is an established West Australian owned and operated HVAC contractor based in Jandakot. Our services are delivered in a diverse range of environments including commercial developments; local government / community buildings; telecommunications sites; defence bases; industrial facilities; aviation facilities; hospitals and academic institutions. We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified and experienced Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Technicians to carry out maintenance, repairs, installations, and small upgrade works.
Required:
- Relevant trade (Refrigeration and Air-conditioning) qualifications.
- Technical background in commercial HVAC and refrigeration.
- Relevant ARC and restricted electrical licence.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service.
- Ability to work well within a team environment and individually as required.
- Willingness to mentor other employees including apprentices.
- Current Police Clearance
Tasks:
- Establish job requirements from drawings and specifications, lay out installation reference points.
- Drill holes, install mounting brackets and cut, bend and thread piping.
- Install and repair components such as compressors, motors, condensers, evaporators, switches and gauges, and copper lines for steam, gas, refrigerant, compressed air, oil and chilled water.
- Bolt, solder, rivet, weld and braze pipes to connect equipment, and check alignment and accuracy of fit.
- Fill systems with gas or fluid to check for leaks.
- Test-operate refrigeration systems, check mechanisms and adjust.
- Remove test gas and fluid using vacuum pumps and fill with refrigerant.
- Check and overhaul refrigeration systems, diagnose faults and repair and replace defective components.
- Adjust system controls and mechanisms and reassemble systems.
- Recording causes of malfunctioning and action taken.
