We’re hiring an experienced Kitchen Kitchen & Fresh Foods Staff/Assistant to join our IGA supermarket team. This role covers kitchen food prep, and fresh produce, with a strong focus on quality, hygiene, and customer service.
Location:
IGA Ashfield, Perth
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Making watermelon slices and fruit salads
- Slicing, weighing, wrapping, and labelling products
- Preparing fresh sandwiches, salads, wraps, and ready-to-go meals
- Baking muffins, slices, cookies, and hot food such as roast chickens
- Using creativity to prepare food based on available ingredients and seasonal produce
- Stocking and rotating fresh produce, maintaining accurate pricing and quality standards
- Setting up and maintaining appealing deli, bakery, and produce displays
- Maintaining cleanliness and following strict food safety and hygiene practices
What we’re looking for:
- Quick learner
- A proactive, positive, and can-do attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings
- Organised and efficient, with great attention to detail
- Passion for food and creativity to share current ideas with the team
- Able to work well independently and in a team
It'll be great if you have prior experience in kitchen, deli, café or fresh food preparation (preference)!
