Café Supervisor – XS Espresso, Glendale
XS Espresso, one of Australia's leading café brands and winner of Australian Café of the Year, is searching for an energetic and motivated Café Supervisor to join our team at XS Espresso Glendale.
With a full all-day offering — serving breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night desserts — this role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering memorable customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
• Daily Floor Leadership:
Supervise daily café operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service across all dayparts, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert trade.
• Support the Store Manager:
Work closely with the Store Manager to uphold operational standards, execute daily plans, maintain team performance, and ensure consistency across all aspects of store operations. Step up confidently when the Manager is off-site.
• Hands-On Support:
Work directly on the floor with the team during peak periods to maintain high service standards, manage workflow, and uphold the XS Espresso brand.
• Team Coordination:
Assist in training, coaching, and developing front-of-house staff. Foster a positive, energetic, and qualified team environment.
• Customer Experience:
Ensure every guest receives exceptional service. Resolve issues promptly and help maintain the welcoming, high-energy atmosphere XS Espresso is known for.
• Quality & Standards:
Maintain strict adherence to brand guidelines, food safety protocols, cleanliness standards, and store presentation.
• Operational Assistance:
Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, labour management support, stock rotation, and inventory control.
Selection CriteriaEssentials
- 1–2 years’ experience in a supervisory or team-leader role within a café, restaurant, or fast-paced hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership capability with the confidence to guide a team during busy service.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
- A hands-on attitude with a commitment to maintaining high standards in service, quality, and cleanliness.
- Reliability and professionalism in supporting the Store Manager with the daily running of the venue.
Desirables
- Barista experience or strong coffee knowledge.
- Experience in high-volume café environments.
- Experience in staff training or mentoring.

Pay: $67,500.00 – $70,000.00 per year
