Fundamental Disability Supports is a small local provider, dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities by providing personalised and high-quality support. Our team is passionate about helping participants live fulfilling lives, fostering independence, and achieving their personal goals. We are seeking compassionate, experienced or willing to learn, Disability Support Worker's to join our team.
About the Role:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will be supporting individuals with disabilities, providing tailored support based on their unique needs and preferences. You will work closely with participants to help them develop life skills, promote their independence, and engage in the community. We are looking for several workers in the Nambour to Caloundra area to work with several of the participants we support. We support a variety of individuals ranging from children to adults. Experience working with adults with Autism and complex mental health is highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one support to individuals with autism, helping them with daily living tasks, personal care,
and community participation.
Assist in developing communication, social, and independent living skills.
Implement personalised support plans that align with participant goals.
Engage participants in recreational and capacity-building activities, both in-home and in the community.
Work collaboratively with family members, allied health professionals, and other support staff to ensure a holistic approach to care.
Document participant progress and maintain accurate case notes.
Promote a positive and secure setting, respecting participants' rights and dignity at all times.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: From $43.23 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 15 per week
