Position Title: Sport4All Inclusion Coach
Location: Shire of Mundaring, Western Australia
Employment: Fixed term 18 months
Overview
Get Skilled Access (GSA) in partnership with the Shire of Mundaring are seeking an Inclusion Coach:
- A person with a disability or lived connection to disability.
- Someone who has great connections with their community.
- Passionate and motivated to build the confidence of community sport clubs, schools to include people with disability in all aspects of sport (playing and non‑playing).
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are strongly encouraged to apply.
About GSA
We are a Disability Inclusion and Accessibility Consulting organisation built by people with disability, lived experience of disability and allies. Founded by Paralympian Dylan Alcott AO, we partner with clients to provide genuine, tangible, and engaging experiences that drive inclusion and create sustainable change.
About Sport4All
The Sport4All (S4A) Program is a federal initiative to build inclusion capability in community and school sport. We employ local Inclusion Coaches to help sporting clubs and schools become more accessible and inclusive.
About the Inclusion Coach Role
The Inclusion Coach will work within the Shire of Mundaring to connect local sporting clubs and schools with the S4A website and resources, helping them to complete the S4A training program.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
- Work with the Shire of Mundaring Community Engagement Team to connect clubs and schools with Sport4All training and resources.
- Create and maintain a transition plan for contacting and sustaining relationships with sporting clubs and schools.
- Provide Shire employees with opportunities to learn about disability, accessibility and inclusion in sport.
- Contribute to S4A program meetings to ensure goals are being met and measured.
- Lead efforts to achieve S4A program objectives through collaboration with the Community Engagement Team.
- Help sporting clubs and schools engage with other organisations to achieve inclusion goals.
- Assess and support sports clubs, schools and organisations to create more inclusive sporting opportunities.
- Support schools and clubs in delivering inclusive sports activities such as sessions and workshops.
- Promote the Sport4All program and educate community groups about the benefits of sports participation for people with disability.
- Advise the Shire of Mundaring on the sporting needs of people with disability in the local community.
- Maintain up‑to‑date records of club, school and organisational connections and of people with disability participating in sport.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Qualities
- Solid relationship‑building skills with community and stakeholder groups.
- Effective communication across face‑to‑face, email and phone channels.
- Excellent written and public speaking skills to explain inclusion in sport.
- Motivated, independent, resourceful and able to work without constant supervision.
- Experienced in connecting with grassroots sporting clubs, teachers, school leadership and staff.
- Ability to plan and travel locally to schools and sporting clubs.
- Organised and adept at administrative tasks, technology use and data collection.
- Time‑management skills to prioritise tasks while maintaining continuous communication.

Other Relevant Requirements
- Travel within Western Australia may be required.
- Availability to work outside ordinary hours, including evenings and weekends, for meetings and events.
Conditions of Employment
- Right to work in Australia (citizen, permanent resident or eligible visa).
- Must notify GSA if your right to work ceases during employment.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- National Police Criminal History Check (no older than 6 months) provided prior to appointment.
