Job Title:Business Development Director – Advanced Manufacturing
Shape the Future of High-Reliability Electronics & Technology Manufacturing
A leading Australian-owned advanced manufacturing business, with a growing international footprint, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Devlopment Director(BDD) to drive its next phase of expansion. Operating at the forefront of high-reliability sectors such as Aerospace & Defense, Medical Devices, Security Technology, and Autonomous Vehicle Manufacturing, this organisation is known for its technical excellence, innovation, and ability to deliver tailored solutions to leading local and global brands.
This is a rare chance to join the executive team of a highly respected, privately held industry leader and play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial strategy and market growth both in Australia and the USA.
The RoleAs BDD, you will be responsible for accelerating revenue growth through strategic, hands-on business development, customer acquisition, and aligning sales and marketing initiatives. Working closely with the CEO and another senior commercial executive, you will initially focus on leading and expanding Australian sales operations, while also fostering strong collaboration with USA-based teams. Over time, your remit will grow to include group marketing leadership and global sales oversight.
Key responsibilities:

- Develop and execute growth strategies to expand market presence in Australia and internationally
- Build and nurture relationships with senior decision-makers in technical and engineering-driven industries
- Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
- Review commercial contracts, highlighting risks and opportunities in the business's best interest
- Identify and secure new business opportunities, while growing existing accounts
- Align sales and marketing functions to deliver integrated, data-driven growth strategies
- Support the organisation's dual-continent manufacturing capability, ensuring seamless customer experience across Australia and the USA

About You: You are a strategic and hands-on commercial leader with a proven track record in business development, sales leadership, and customer acquisition within advanced manufacturing, electronics,



or engineering-related sectors. You bring both the strategic vision and operational drive to expand a business in complex, high-reliability environments.
What you will bring:

- Proven experience driving revenue growth in technical and manufacturing sectors
- Solid networks across at least one of the organisation's focus industries (Aerospace & Defense, Medical Devices, Security Technology, Autonomous Vehicles)
- Relevant qualifications in engineering, business, or marketing, with strong technical aptitude
- Experience in Australian and international (ideally US) markets
- A data-driven approach to sales and marketing alignment
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
