Unicorn Broadbeach Seafood Restaurant Broadbeach are looking for Chefs/ cooks on a Full time / casuals Permanent & ongoing basis, for their extremely Busy restaurant at 24-26 Queensland Avenue Broadbeach, 4218, Unicorn Broadbeach Seafood Restaurant require Chefs with a strong background of cooking seafood dishes from various sections such as grill, pan, pasta, fryer and cold section for a busy greek themed seafood Restaurant in Broadbeach QLD. 4218

Mentioned below are the requirements, duties and roles of the right candidate, but they are not limited to the following:

- Must have Australian work experience in a busy kitchen/restaurant.

- Minimum 1 year of Australian restaurant/kitchen experience is required.

- Be fully conversant with the health and safety regulation in Australia.

- Be able to work ODD hours.

- Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings.

- Regulating temperatures of Ovens grills and other cooking equipment.

- Preparing, cooking and seasoning food.

- Portioning food, placing on plate, adding gravies and garnishing to the Dishes.

- Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities.

- Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.

- Suitable candidate must be able to work as a team in under pressure workplace.

we expect the candidate to follow all preset recipes, be able to adjust them too as per the requirements of the customers and be able to train junior kitchen staff in the basic handling of duties

Job Duties

- Prepare, season and cook food as directed, meeting dietary requirements where required

- Menu planning

- Creating recipes and presentation specifications

- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

- Clean and organize kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations

- preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities

- Train apprentices and other kitchen staff Additional duties

- Recording food temperature

- Should be able to compile reports for the management.

Experience:

- Cook/ Chef: 2-3 years

Australian Qualifications in hospitality are required.

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent Australian hospitality qualification is required.

-Work Eligibility

- full working rights preferred for full time job with no visa restrictions.

- students with commercial cookery are also welcome to get casual job.

- this job is not for off shore candidates and short visa stay. so please do not waste time.
