Unisquare PtyLtd t/a Hurricane's Grill and Rotisserie Pyrmont is part of the well-known Hurricane's Group. Located in Pyrmont, an inner-city suburb of Sydney, the restaurant offers a relaxed modern steakhouse atmosphere.
We serve our famous delicious ribs and steaks in our original basting.
We are currently seeking a full time (38 hours/week) Cook. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties on a daily basis:

- Washing, cutting and preparing food prior to cooking

- Cleaning and portioning fish, meat and poultry

- Preparing and cooking any and all menu items

- Portioning food, plating it with consistent quality control and adding warm and cold sauces

- Stock control for the freezers, pantries and store rooms, managing stock levels and ensuring rotation is in place

- Estimating food requirements, to ensure correct quantities are cooked and the amount of portions to be served

- Mitigating food wastage, maximising yield from food products

- Maintaining personal equipment; knives and uniform





- Adhering to Hurricanes Grill and Rotisserie Pyrmont’s Kitchen’s Food Preparation, Handling and Storage Policy

- Responding positively to head chef requests and encouraging teamwork to meet expectations

- Completing a full stock take of all food items every week and providing

summary to accounts by the required time

- Maintaining Occupational, Health and Safety (OH&S;) practices in the

kitchen

Qualifications and Skills:

- A level of skill commensurate with an AQF Certificate III including at least two years of training, or AQF Certificate IV; OR
- At least three years of relevant experience in lieu of qualifications;
- A minimum of one year of relevant work experience in addition to appropriate qualifications;
- Ability to work under pressure without compromising standards in a fast-paced kitchen;
- Strong communication skills.

Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
