About the Opportunity
The Work Pit is launching The Barber Pit, a premium barbershop located at the front of our established menswear and workwear retail store in Ringwood. We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Lead Barber to help build this new space from the ground up.
This role is perfect for a professional barber who wants autonomy and strong earning potential without the cost or risk of setting up their own shop.

Role Details
This is a subcontractor position with a competitive commission structure (negotiable based on experience and existing client base).
You will have the freedom to help shape the shop culture and run your client base with autonomy.
What We’re Looking For (Essential)
- Minimum 3–5 years professional barbering experience
- Relevant Victorian barbering qualifications
- An established client base
- Excellent technical skills in classic and modern styles
- Professional presentation and customer service
- Reliable, punctual, and confident operating independently
Highly Regarded
- Experience running your own chair or business
- Ability to mentor a junior barber
- Social media presence or content creation skills
- Retail sales confidence (product recommendations etc.)
