About the role
An exciting prospect has become available for a Duty Manager to join the team at the Labrador AFL Sports Club in Labrador, Queensland. This full-time role is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the club, ensuring a high level of customer service and the efficient management of all staff and resources.
What you'll be doing
- Managing the operations of the club during assigned shifts, including supervising staff, handling customer enquiries and ensuring health and safety standards are maintained
- Overseeing the security, cash handling and reconciliation processes, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
- Providing leadership and support to the hospitality team, delegating tasks and providing feedback to drive continuous improvement
- Troubleshooting any issues that arise and implementing effective solutions to ensure a seamless customer experience
- Assisting with the planning and coordination of events, functions and special promotions
- Collaborating with the management team to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
What we're looking for
- Significant experience in a similar Duty Manager or Assistant Manager role within the club or hotel industry
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Excellent customer service orientation and the ability to problem-solve effectively
- Sound financial management skills, including budgeting, cash handling and reporting
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and compliance
- Demonstrated experience in event planning and coordination
- Relevant qualifications in hospitality management or a related field would be highly regarded
